Blankets by Linda Stryker
Each meeting of the Seattle Weavers' Guild features a segment called "Hot Off the Loom". During this time members display and explain work they have recently done. In March, 2019, member Linda Stryker spoke about several blankets she had completed.
"These are three wool blankets woven plain weave in a double weave fashion: woven 26 inches wide in the reed, but opened to 52 inches wide finished. The warp was from smallish balls of wool from the estate sale of our dear weaver Becky Barnes. The yarns were mostly fall colors, but no quantities of any one color. In my blankets I used pumpkin, dark purple/black, and plum as wefts. Becky would like them, I believe!"
