Point Twill Shawl in Cotton

Each meeting of the Seattle Weavers' Guild features a segment called 'Hot Off the Loom'. During this time members display and explain work they have recently done. Members also share their work through social media--Facebook, and Instagram.
In October, Sue Willingham showed a shawl she wove using cotton. The warp is Concentric Cotton by Hikoo (100% pima cotton) and the weft is unmercerized 8/2 cotton. The structure is a 5/2/2/1/1 point twill woven on ten shafts. The sett was 30 ends per inch. There was minimal shrinkage and take-up and the finished shawl is 90 inches by 27 inches.
