Sample Supplements to the SWG Bulletin
Our Guild has notebooks in our Library dating back to September 1957, with woven samples and drafts (plus dyeing, spinning, papermaking, weaving Christmas ribbon, and wood for weaving). Some have been group efforts, many are the work of individual members, and some are reports on research projects. The information is as detailed and varied as our members and their interests. It is a wonderful historical collection and a great source for ideas. The samples are available for check-out.
These sample collections (1) provide incentive for those who like try something new, (2) challenge the less experienced weaver, (3) promote collaboration, (4) encourage experimentation, and (5) is personally satisfying and provides recognition to our members.
