For a while I have been exploring non-traditional Rep Weaves patterns making modifications to Classic Rep patterns. I have come to try bending the rules concerning the thin weft and still keep the characteristics of Rep Weave. The pandemic gave me the time and opportunity to explore many new variations. Several modifications resulted in interesting outcomes both in the front and the underside.
About Lucienne:

Lucienne Coifman started weaving over 40 years ago. She quickly made it a full-time occupation and has taught weaving for the past 30 plus years at the Guilford Art Center, The Creative Art workshop and in her own studio; she has also conducted many workshops throughout the Northeast and the Midwest and at the last four Convergences.
For the past 30 years she has been studying and developing the many ways to use Rep Weave, and other related warp-faced weaves, experimenting with the use of many different fibers in the process. Her main interest has centered on color interactions and patterns, using up to 8 harnesses and using pick-up techniques when needed. Her weavings have appeared in SS&D, Handwoven, and included in many juried exhibits. Her book, Rep-Rips-Reps Weaves (2015), is a complete workshop for both beginning and advanced weavers.
