Learn these wonderful, advanced techniques that can take your weaving to the next level. Spend some time making a sampler that includes simple hemstitch, twining, looping, soumak and inlay, which can add textural interest to your weaving projects. During the class you will learn the techniques and then be encouraged to try different yarns and variations to broaden your understanding of these skills. Use these variations to create your own style and increase the artistry of your woven pieces.
Skill Level:
Advance Beginner/Intermediate. Rigid Heddle loom with at least 8 inch weaving width and a 7.5-8 dent reed required.

Deborah Jarchow is a full-time weaver and artist who teaches and lectures on fiber arts, creates and sells wearable art, and exhibits her work at galleries and museums across the United States. Her commissioned pieces are held by churches as well as in many private collections. Deborah loves helping people discover the joy of weaving and during the past several years, has focused her teaching mainly on rigid heddle looms. Until recently, she traveled extensively to share her weaving enthusiasm and expertise. She is known as a generous teacher who makes weaving accessible and exciting to students of all levels.
